Event Assistant/Production Lead

 

We are seeking an individual to join our events team. This is an in-house position of 40-hours a week.  The main duties will be to maintain event schedule and supervise Road Warriors.  At times, this team member will travel by company vehicle throughout the lower 48 states representing ENO at indoor and outdoor festivals and events and build festival instillations and maintains them throughout the event while representing the company.  This role would be suitable for an experienced, driven, and self-motivated individual with prior successful events experience

Essential Responsibilities of Event Assistant

  • Interact professionally and effectively with new and existing event coordinators
  • Exceed and surpass targeted sales goals
  • Build and foster relationships with new event coordinators
  • Supervise the maintenance of company vehicle and report any issues to manager
  • Source 100+ events yearly and negotiate with event planners
  • Maintain event schedule and relay schedule to event team.
  • Complete and organize event contracts
  • Supervise event staff of 3+ employees
  • Field incoming calls from road team – Can include weekend calls
  • Inventory management and ordering
  • Create and complete excel festival reports weekly
  • Assist Event Manager in hiring team members
  • Routine vehicle checks
  • Maintain vehicle records and inspection calendar
  • Analyze each events success and prepare written reports monthly

Essential Responsibilities of Production Lead

  • Oversee the loading of all required event equipment (audio/visual and other), transport to site, set up, break down and properly store equipment post event 
  • Lead work crew in the safe deployment of the portable installation
  • Supervise volunteers and seasonal employees
  • Monitor weather and other conditions during the event and act in accordance with prescribed emergency procedures, if necessary 
  • Attend event planning meeting where Events Coordinator provides details on site logistics and equipment 
  • Track and maintain event equipment and supplies 
  • Follows safety procedures. Identifies unsafe situations and work hazards, corrects them if possible, and reports them to supervisor  
  • Be familiar with regulations laid out by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
  • Be prepared for routine physicals and drug tests as regulated by the FMCSA
  • Maintain company vehicle and report any issues to supervisor
  • Communicate with on-site events coordinator in a way that is well representative of ENO
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and General Experience

  • Three years of experience in event production
  • Proficient with Excel and Word
  • Clean driving record a must
  • Technical and safe operating aspects of event logistics and audio/visual equipment
  • Sound board and other audio systems components
  • Departmental and OSHA safety standards for event production
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and the general public
  • Operate audiovisual, sound, and lighting equipment
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent decision-making
  • Strong time management and stress management skills
  • Must be comfortable camping outdoors for up to 7 days at a time
  • Communicate orally and in writing
  • Models behaviors consistent with our company values
  • Promotes a culture of workplace safety

Work Environment

Event Assistant job requires in house work at ENO Headquarters. Production crew work is performed in outdoor environments. The employee may be exposed to noise, large crowds, and inclement weather. 

Special Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance and use tools requiring a high degree of dexterity. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50+ pounds.

Road Warrior Event Sales 

We are seeking an individual to join our traveling sales team. This Road Warrior will travel by company vehicle throughout the lower 48 states representing ENO at indoor and outdoor festivals, trade shows and events. This role would be suitable for an experienced, driven, and self-motivated sales representative with prior successful sales experience. A natural love for the outdoors and adventure is a plus!

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Interact professionally and effectively with new and existing customers
  • Process customer orders
  • Compile sales reports from each event, to be sent to supervisor at the close of each event.
  • Collect and report customer product feedback
  • Exceed and surpass targeted sales goals
  • Develop a high level of product knowledge and be able to demonstrate uses
  • Manage the visual merchandising of event space
  • Respond to and addresses customer’s complaints or inquiries
  • Maintain company vehicle and report any issues to supervisor
  • Perform these and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and General Experience

  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Clean driving record a must
  • Must be a self-starter, self-managed, motivated and have the ability to multi-task with minimal supervisior
  • Customer-centric leader with a strong leadership profile
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities and environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent decision-making
  • Strong time managing and stress management skills
  • Must be comfortable camping outdoors for up to 7 days at a time
