ENO’s DoubleNest Receives Gear of the Year Award in the Sleep Category by 50 Campfires

The DoubleNest recognized for portability and superior comfort by comprehensive camping website network

Joining an exclusive group of top camping products, Eagles Nest Outfitter’s DoubleNest was acclaimed as latest and greatest in the “Sleep” category by 50 Campfires.

Asheville, N.C., December 5, 2013 – In  the first annual 2013 Gear of the Year Awards by 50 Campfires that reviewed top quality camping gear, Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) was given the Gear of the Year award in the Sleep category for its overall functionality, quality, comfort and portability.

The 50 Campfires team employed the help of manufacturers and researchers to compile this extensive list of the leading camping gear available on the market. Broken down into seven categories: Sleep, Eat, Wear, Play, Personal, Fire and Gadgets, the review selected 5 camping products per category based on innovation, enjoyment and practicality.

“If we asked 100 people why they like camping we’d get many different answers,” read the 50 Campfires review, “but the overall theme would be a sense of escape, relaxation and spending time outdoors…We want camping gear that makes our lives easier and more enjoyable…the gear that you and your family will actually use. We look for the essentials and accessories you’ll pack in your car for a great weekend escape at your nearest campground.”

ENO’s DoubleNest was specifically noted for its progressive presence in the camping industry as a sleeping alternative.

“Remember when hammocks were made of net? So awful.” the review continued. “Those days are over thanks to the uber comfy ENO DoubleNest hammock…We thoroughly enjoyed spending a night in a hammock over a standard tent.”
